Introductions

I’m just going to jump right into the mix with my first ‘official’ blog entry. No introductions needed! Hopefully you will get to know me by my what I choose to post here… I tend to mess up introductions anyway :).

Over the past few months I’ve been inundated with work! It’s so amazing! I feel so blessed to be entrusted with the images for so many great books! I wanted to start by sharing a few images from a series based on a boy named Danny Orlis. The series was originally written in the 50’s by Bernard Palmer. The company I am working with is re-publishing the books which were so popular when then first came out. I hope illustrations I’ve done will do it justice.

How exciting to see that you’re illustrating the Danny Orlis series! I had the privilege of meeting Bernard Palmer over a few summers that my family spent at Dore Lake, Saskatchewan, where he would often go to write. He and his wife, Marg, were some of the nicest people I ever met. Your illustrations look lovely.

Thank-you for your kind comments! I had a great time illustrating 4
of the books. I’m not sure if there are plans for more but i would
love it. I really love the boldness of his message in how Danny faces
the world as a Christian boy. It must have been exciting to meet him
    :).
