Carrie and I visited IKEA last weekend and picked up a few items for my new home office. It’s starting to feel more comfy and organized… I even felt inspired and made a few sketches at my new desk! Maybe I’ll post some images of my studio once it’s all set up. Anywho… here is a dragon and a monster inspired by an artist I admire!

It makes me think of the fun we had as kids designing the interiors for secret underground bases and alien hideouts 
. Noah had to have a lot going on in that ark to hold all of those animals! You can see a few of the other drawings here.

While Carrie was reading or relaxing I tended to feel restless. Prior to the wedding I discovered Moleskine notebooks and quickly wanted to “sample” each type. Before long I had several different kinds and felt kind-of silly with all of my blank sketchbooks . I took a watercolor Moleskine along on the honeymoon and found several moments where sketching became my way to relax. As we get settled in our new house I hope to continue filling my Moleskine collection with drawings! Here are a few more from our trip. A Seagrove Sunset; Raw and Juicy was a juice stand in Seaside; and the mermaids of the 3 Mermaids cottage (as I imagined them to be). Enjoy!

Hey friends, I’m back! It’s been a month or two since my last post and I’ve missed it! During that time I’ve moved to Kalamazoo, married my dream girl, and had a much needed honeymoon in Seagrove Beach, FL. Thanks so much to all of my friends and family who made our wedding day so wonderful! I plan on getting back to the art posts and letting you know what I’m working on so stay tuned.
