Baxter Brontosaurus

Posted in Illustration  by dmiles

I’ve had a great time working with independent authors who are venturing out and self-publishing their work. Baxter the Brontosaurus is one of those projects and I’m pleased with how it turned out. The author is very young and I just loved the character his illustrations had and how they worked with his story. I think his Mom wanted to give him a nice gift by having the book printed with professionally made illustrations. I did my best to keep his original ideas intact while also adding my expertise to the project.

The original illustrations are below so you can see how I re-interpreted his drawings. I hope he continues to imagine and create new books! He’s got talent!

Plaidiators!

Posted in Illustration  by dmiles

I’ve really enjoyed being part of a local Run Camp this winter. We are training for a half marathon in April and it’s been fun! Our camp captain is a lot of fun and has deemed our group the Plaidiators with our team color being plaid! Of course. This pic is my contribution to team spirit. I think we’ll be talking team shirts this weekend… I hope so!
