My friend, Elaine Beachy, published a book called Biff & Becka’s Springtime Adventures not too long ago.  Recently she added another book called Biff & Becka’s Stupendous Vacation!  I thought I’d celebrate the release of the new book by posting some of my favorite images from both books.

Without further adieu…

It’s about time to post something new!  I just completed this picture for a writer friend of mine.  I thing she turned out pretty great!  Ramblin’ Rita!.

Dwarven Courage!

I found another birthday gift that I wanted to share.  I’ve been trying to do more painting and drawing outside of my work on the computer. My brother and I used to play World of Warcraft together.  We were both dwarves.  He had a red beard and named his dwarf ‘Firethorin’.  My dwarf had a white beard and was named ‘Whithorin’… It was fun to be brother battling the forces of evil for a while.  Anyway, this is a tribute to my brothers character.  I drew him with ink and watercolors.

October is also Inktober!  Inktober was started 2 years ago by, Jake Parker.  He decided to celebrate with 30 days of amazing and beautiful ink drawings!  This year a number of people have decided to tag along.  I’m taking the opportunity to make some fun personal work and make some progress with inking!  I’m only 5 days in so I’m hoping to continue with one drawing each day.  You can track my progress on twitter (search #inktober for the others) and occasionally I’ll post some of the drawings here.

Think Inky!

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise” -Psalm 98:4

Carrie, Stella, and I want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

Another fun contest entry.  This time we had to create a “snapshot” from Marco Polo’s Journey to Asia.  ;)

Comment 8. Melinda!  Congratulations, Melinda and thank-you for sharing your favorite holiday food which is your Grandmommies Pumpkin Pie!  I’d have to say that pumpkin pie is one of my personal favorites too so it’s good to know that this drawing will be going to a fellow pie-lover!  If you don’t get an email from me please contact me via this website with your mailing address so I can send you the watercolor!

Thanks to everyone who entered my little contest.  I’ve really enjoyed promoting Cop’s Christmas and meeting people at the book signings.  Thank-you to everyone for all of the support :) .

What?!

These pictures have nothing to do with water!… unless you think about watering the ‘Head Plant’ but that’s not what I mean. I’ve been struggling with how to depict water in a book I’m working on this week. I’ve painted the water, erased the water, and started over several times already! I decided I needed to clear my head and work on some pieces that were completely unrelated. Sketchoholics unite!

Maybe I’ll post about the water later :) .
