All posts in Noah

Just a few more from that batch of pictures about Noah and dinosaurs. I’ve been experimenting with textures and brushes in photoshop but haven’t quite found my “bliss”. Maybe I never will… I mean, isn’t the drive to improve your work part of being an artist? :)

Yay! I’ve had this book on my schedule since last spring and we’re finally getting around to finishing it up. I’ve been working on the illustrations this week and am on target to finish everything up today. I’ll post a few more this weekend once it’s all finished up. Enjoy :) .

Hello all! It was a long wait but I’ve finally gotten the go ahead on the sketches for the Dino book I was working on. I’ve posted a few of the line drawings in my Picasa gallery. I love this picture…

It makes me think of the fun we had as kids designing the interiors for secret underground bases and alien hideouts :) . Noah had to have a lot going on in that ark to hold all of those animals! You can see a few of the other drawings here.

I am officially geeked about this new book I’m working on. Well, I’m always excited about new jobs but this one has lots of animals and dinosaurs so I’m more excited than usual. I spent all day Wednesday doing a rough layout of the book and creating all of the rough drawings. I liked them so much that I printed them out and walked around with them just so I could look at them whenever I wanted. I think I’m fascinated when I can actually see the things that are going on in my head. Here are few of the roughs… I can’t wait to finish them up!

Oh… as far as the title of this post goes… the story is about Noah filling the ark for the flood and offers an explanation about the extinction of dinaosaurs :) .
