I have been doing flannelgraphs for one of my clients and I really enjoy it!  It really takes me back to the days I had to sit in a circle with other kids and listen to a Bible lesson illustrated with fuzzy backed characters.  Below you’ll find some characters from the Prodigal son story and also a tree .

I’m back with another shot at the fantasy illustration genre!  I know I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, this is fun!  Maybe it’s just because it’s not like anything I used to doing or maybe it’s because I’m a guys who likes fantastic adventures .

This week ArtOrder challenge us to conceptualize from something that is right under our noses!  The Boll Weevil is a small pest who messes with farmers crops in real life. But in the fantasy realm they are giant, flying war machines!  Tamed by the Bromide race for use on the battlefield, the Boll Deevil have the ability to swoop down on their prey and poison them with toxic gases.  How cool is that?
